Individuals looking for nursery
teaching jobs will be encouraged by news that some childcare facilities are recruiting.
According to a report in the Inverurie Herald, a new centre is preparing to open later this year, with the emphasis on teaching children up to five years old.
The news is likely to come as a boost for those looking for jobs in the sector amid claims of cut-backs and closures by local authorities.
General manager of the new facility Claire Edwards told the paper: "We want our staff to have the opportunity to develop and grow through learning, experience and career progression."
She added: "We are focusing on providing high quality child care in the Inverurie area and aim to make [the centre] 'best in class'."
Conservative MP Iain Duncan Smith has recently suggested that a new unit be included in childcare courses to teach practitioners how to identify developmental problems in children from a young age.
