Teaching Assistant - PMLD School

Capita are currently recruiting for LSA's to work in a Special School starting in September!



This Primary Special School (ages 3-11) caters for a number of learning needs including, complex, severe, profound/multiple learning difficulties, children with ASD, Down's Syndrome and complex physical and medical disabilities.



The school aims to provide a warm and nurturing environment to all its pupils as well as to provide the guidance and support which enables children to build confidence,self-esteem, independence, tolerance and respect for others



In order to be considered for the role of LSA, successful applicants must have previous experience of working within a Special School, ideally working with children with PMLD or SLD. The children in school do face significant challenges and LSA's must be prepared to assist and work with the children. This will include personal care.



In order to meet the job specification, you must be able to swim as part of the role includes taking the children swimming once per week.



If you have worked or lived outside the UK for 3 months or longer in the past 5 years then you will need to provide an Overseas Police Check, you will also need to apply for a CRB Check.
