TEACHING ASSISTANT - LIFEGUARD

SALARY: GRADE KS3 + SEN ALLOWANCE (Term Time Only)

Capita Education is currently working in partnership with the Milestone School based in New Ash Green (Kent) for a Teaching Assistant - Hydro Pool to start as soon as possible.



The Milestone School is a specialist school for children aged between 2-19 years with profound, severe and complex learning difficulties. With 223 full time places on roll, the School is managed by a very supportive Head Teacher which is reflected in their latest Ofsted inspection rated as Excellent/Good.



You will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in the teaching and welfare of children to ensure they attain the targets set under their individual educational programmes. - Dealing with pupils' therapeutic, behavioural and personal care needs.



The successful applicants must hold a rescue certificate (lifeguard), have the ability to motivate and engage colleagues and students at all levels and possess a good standard of education (NVQ level 1 or equivalent) together with good numeracy and literature skills. Previous experience (1-2 years) of working with children.



The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check being undertaken before the position commences.
