Teaching Assistant for SEN School

A school that specialises in working with children who have challenging behaviour is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a supply basis. You will join a committed and supportive teaching team and will be responsible for providing the highest levels of care to the children that are under your supervision. As you will be working with children who have challenging behaviour, a patient and creative approach is necessary, as are excellent communication skills. You will work with children on a one-to-one basis as well as taking small groups, and so you must be versatile and able to engage children quickly and effectively. Qualifications in Manual Handling and Team Teach would be an advantage.

* Able to demonstrate that you have worked with children with challenging behaviour
