Teacher Pensions Administrator

Tasks and Responsibilities



*Undertake complex calculations of pension contributions.

*Calculating refund/arrears of pension contributions.

*Checking, monitoring and controlling the accuracy of pension data.

*Administering the Local Government and Teachers' Pensions ensuring changes and improvements are implemented and to ensure the performance and standards set out in policy and legislation are met.

*Dealing with, and taking action on enquiries by telephone or email correspondence, sending out standard and non-standard letters using Microsoft Word.

*Liaising with employees, outsourced payroll service provider and pension authorities to resolve any anomalies or discrepancies relating to pensions.

*Completing and submitting pension forms and missing service information electronically.

*Promote effective working relationships within the College, pension authorities and other bodies participating in the Pension Scheme in order to have good communication systems and a smooth running organisation.

*Undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required.

*Working closely with human resources staff.

*Answering all queries arising in relation to the above duties.
