Capita Education is currently working in partnership with St Catherine's Catholic School based in Bexleyheath (Kent) for a permanent Teacher of Maths to start in September 2012.



With a supportive and inspirational Head Teacher, St Catherine's Catholic School is a highly successful oversubscribed 11-16 Girls Catholic Comprehensive School with 1058 pupils on roll. With high quality accommodation and resources, a recent Ofsted inspection rated St Catherine's as an excellent school.



As Teacher of Maths, will be responsible for planning and preparing engaging lessons, setting homework timetables and endeavouring to maintain and develop the Catholic character of the school in all their activities. Setting high expectations for student's behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline and appearance, you will contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental policies.



The successful applicant must hold an honours degree (or equivalent) and Qualified Teacher Status/NQT as well as able to teach Maths up-to GCSE. You must have a current and up to date knowledge of curriculum development initiatives and teaching methodology and an understanding of national, LA and school data (including Fischer Family Trust) in order to assess student and personal performances.
