Capita Education is currently recruiting on behalf of the Hextable School based in Swanley (Kent) for a Teacher of Mathematics/ICT to start in September 2012.
The Hextable School is a highly successful, ambitious and innovative 11-19 Specialist Performing Arts School that aims to ensure that every child within the school maximises his or her potential and enjoys the school environment.
The school recently underwent a full Ofsted Inspection and was judged to be satisfactory, with many good points highlighted during the inspection including a committed Head Teacher leading the school well and working effectively to raise standards, pupils participation in extracurricular activities and learners well cared for.
The Mathematics Department consists of five specialist mathematics teachers dedicated to working hard to ensure that pupils achieve their full potential. The primary aim of the faculty is to give students confidence and competence within the mathematics they will meet in everyday life and in other disciplines in school, enabling each student to develop their mathematical skills as far as possible.
We are seeking a teacher who understands what makes a great lesson, has a genuine belief that every child has talent and should enjoy learning; who can deliver exciting, creative lessons. You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to demonstrate excellent learning and teaching as well as maintaining high expectations and standards. You will also have high level interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and will have the ability to put ambitious ideas into practice.
Knowledge, Skills & Personal Qualities:
- Hold QTS Teaching Qualification
- Outstanding subject knowledge within Maths
- Able to lead a team
- Committed to raising standards
- Possess excellent student behaviour management
