TEACHER OF HISTORY

SALARY: £20,000-32,000

START DATE: SEPTEMBER

The Isle of Sheppey Academy based in Sheppey is looking to appoint a Teacher of History to start in September 2012.

The Isle of Sheppey Academy is a new Academy for girls and boys aged 11-19.

In September 2009, education on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent was transformed when the Academy. The Academy has achieved outstanding results at GCSE and A-Level and results have continued to improve within a safe, happy, modern and inspiring learning environment.

Over the next two years, a major £54 million building and development programme will provide two brand new learning environments, each equipped with the most modern technology and taking advantage of the latest computer-based teaching and learning approaches.

The Academy offers a generous retention package for those teachers who achieve 3 good or better internal lesson observations using the Ofsted criteria.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Hold QTS Teaching Qualification os studying towards a PGCE/GTP (NQT)

- Outstanding subject knowledge (History)

- Possess excellent student behaviour management

- Creative and forward thinking individual

- Evidence of successful and excellent classroom practice
