Specialist Learning Support Worker for D/deaf students



To support D/deaf students with disabilities and/or learning difficulties in all aspects of their Post 16 programmes using various communication methods.



Supporting deaf students both directly and indirectly in the student's preferred mode of communication (e.g. sign language, lip-reading and note taking) and by implementing a variety of appropriate support strategies.



The successful candidate will have experience of supporting deaf people in an education and a minimum of British Sign Language Level 2. Literacy and numeracy qualifications at level two will be required (GCSE Grade C English & Maths acceptable).



Any offer of employment will be subject to the receipt of a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau, satisfactory references and sight of original qualifications.
