Special Needs Teacher

The successful candidate will;

* Be a fully qualified primary school teacher (PGCE or equivalent) with a minimum of 6 months UK teaching exposure.

* Have exposure of working with SEN pupils, particularly EBD.

* Be a strong classroom manager who is able to manage challenging behaviour effectively.

* Be an exemplary professional who strives to build high quality relationships at all levels.

* Be fully committed to raising the standards of education and work towards the 'Every Child Matters' framework.



Duties will include:

* We would like you to work with members of the SLT to maintain work in SEN, and to further develop the schools work with gifted and talented children.

* Planning, delivering and assessing pupils ensuring that National Curriculum levels are met.

* Continually forging and maintaining relationships with staff and pupils alike.

* Becoming involved in the wider community of schools i.e. breakfast club, after school activities, parents evenings etc…
