SENCO needed in Greenwich

Capita Education are looking for an experienced SENCO to join a specialist Science and Maths school in Greenwich until December 2012.



The main responsibilities of the role include:

. To promote differentiation across the ability range with swift diagnosis, remdiation strategies and interventions

. To be accountable for learning of all SEN students at the school (including post 16)

. To provide strategic management and be accountable for staff within the department

. To organise and manage provision for pupils with SEN

. To lead and manage staff to secure high quality teaching and effective use of resources

. Identify and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEN

. Provide professional development of staff to increase effectiveness and provide support



Essential Skills required:



. Honours degree and QTS in specialist area

. Nationally recognised qualification in SEN

. Proven record of outstanding teaching abilities and skills

. Significant and recent experience working with pupils with specific learning disabilities including Dyslexia and Dyscalculia

. Ability to demonstrate leadership on learning initiatives

. Ability to innovate and demonstrate a clear vision

. Experience in delivering high quality INSET to colleagues
