JOB TITLE - SEN Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant

TYPE OF ROLE - Supply

My clients are EBSD Schools and PRU facilities around Swindon, catering for young people aged 5 -18. They have a dynamic and inclusive ethos with supportive management teams that has proven to bring the very best out in the staff within the schools.

I am currently recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) and Learning Support Assistants (LSA) with experience working with children who have additional learning needs within SEN teaching environments, both on a one-to-one basis and within small groups. To that end, you will ideally possess a TA/LSA qualification through the NVQ, CACHE or BTEC schemes or have extensive experience working with SEN pupils within schools. We have a variety of supply and long term positions available currently in Swindon, so if you are looking for part time work or on-going full time work and have at least six months recent experience in a SEN environment, then do not delay in contacting us today.

The pupils' needs may be related to their literacy and numeracy development or in enhancing their social skills and keeping them task orientated throughout lessons. You will appreciate that every class is different and each child has their own specific learning needs and will therefore be flexible and able to quickly adapt to a variety of scenarios. No two days are likely to be the same!

You will have excellent communication skills and will be comfortable liaising with both teachers and students, with an ability to quickly form bonds with those you work with. You will be relied upon to execute all work to a high standard, ensuring that the individual child meets their required learning outcomes under the guidance of the class teacher.

The schools that we work with have excellent resources and you will be working alongside supportive staff that put the well-being of the child at the heart of the work they do. If you have the experience and want to continue your career in this specialised and rewarding work environment and are ready for your next challenge, then please apply now.
