SEN Teaching Assistant

I am currently looking to register a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support in various schools around the Nottinghamshire area, with previous knowledge and experience of supporting children with special needs. You must have experience in a Key Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 Special Needs setting. The schools are able to provide happy an industrious atmosphere where all children are encouraged to achieve their potential by stimulating their enthusiasm for learning, and a determination to succeed.



You will be required to support a mixture of children with a variety of special needs working with them on a 1-2-1 basis both in and out of the classroom, you must of had previous experience in working with special needs. You will also be required to support other children in the class on a small group basis as well as the class teacher, as and when required.



The desired candidate will have previous experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties or similar SEN experience preferably in a school setting, and have a desire to help support difficult children to overcome their barriers.



Main Duties will include;

- supporting children on a 1-2-1 basis

- helping children towards their individual IEP's

- acting as a support to the teacher when working in a group setting



You must be available for day to day and/or long term supply work.
