Primary ASD Teacher Urgently needed in Havering

A special school in Havering are looking for a dynamic Primary ASD teacher to start in July.



The ideal candidate will possess a good working knowledge of either PECS or Makaton, and have an informed understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and provision needed within the classroom. The class sizes are approximately 8 pupils with 2-3 highly experienced LSA's supporting. A Primary trained teacher would be preferable due to the age and P-levels of the learners.



The school, which has been awarded 'Outstanding ' status through OFSTED, has over 100 pupils aged 3-19 with diverse learning difficulties. A wide range of special educational needs are reflected in the school population, serving pupils with ASD, PMLD and other Moderate Learning Difficulties. The school has excellent provisions for all pupils, including a hydrotherapy pool and an advanced sensory room.
