Nursery Manager and Assistant Manager for a Montessori School in Hammersmith



This new and growing day care provision and Montessori school is based in the London Borough of Hammersmith, within an easy commute from the local tube stations and bus networks.



An opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Manager and Assistant Manager to join the school in September 2010 on a permanent basis. The candidates will be subject to a 3 month probationary period initially.



You will be responsible for a team of 4 early years staff and 2 volunteers. Responsibilities include, managing your team, supporting and coaching newer members and ensuring the nursery is meeting the requirements expected of a nursery provision. You will also take responsibility for staff recruitment and development and bringing your own ideas to the role. The school has a strong focus on sports and arts and candidates with an interest in this area will be welcome.



The School caters for up to 20 children ages 2 - 4 and boasts 3 spacious rooms and a modern outdoor play area with new facilities and accessible resources. In addition to the standard day care provision, the setting also offers after schools clubs and weekend clubs on site, which is an opportunity to work extra hours should you wish to.



The nursery operates during term time only, and runs Monday to Friday from 9 - 12.30 each day. The nursery has plans on expansion and will be looking to expand to full day care in the near future.



The suitable candidates will be NVQ 3 qualified, this is an essential requirement, However, it is not essential to come with management experience as the nursery will offer training opportunities and the opportunity for career development to management stage for the ideal candidates.



The part-time salary (depending on experience) will range from £10,000 to £12,500. This is already pro-rata for the half days you will be working.
