LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS (LSA)



£8.16 Per Hour rising to £8.90 per hour after 12 weeks



Various long term hours available from September 2012



Capita Education Resourcing is currently working with a leading further education college to recruit Learning Support Assistants to join the existing team in South Shields.



Working with the Additional Learning Support Department you will provide support to a diverse range of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities including personal care on mainstream and vocational courses including:



* Autism/Aspergers Syndrome

* Emotional or Behavioural Difficulties

* Moderate / Severe Learning Difficulties

* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties

* Mental Health Issues

* Dyslexia

* Physical Disabilities

* Hearing / Visual Impairment



As an experienced LSA within a further education environment you will have a good all round level of education to include relevant qualifications at Level 3, Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent level. You will Pocess strong communication skills combined with the ability to develop rapport and understanding with students are essential. You must be able to offer commitment and flexibility.



Any offer of employment will be subject to the receipt of a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau, satisfactory references and sight of original qualifications.
