KS2 ASD Teacher

A progressive special needs school in Havering, requires an experienced SEN Teacher to work in a challenging KS2 /ASD class.



The ideal candidate will possess a good working knowledge of either PECS or Makaton, and have an informed understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and the provision needed within the classroom. The class sizes are approximately 8 pupils with 2-3 highly experienced LSA's supporting the teacher. A Primary trained teacher would be preferable due to the age and P-levels of the learners.

A wide range of special educational needs are reflected in the school population, serving pupils with ASD, PMLD and other Moderate Learning Difficulties. The school has excellent provisions for all pupils, including a hydrotherapy pool and an advanced sensory room.
