Head of Department - English

We currently have a permanent vacancy for a Head of Department in English. You will be teaching across KS3 - KS5. The school is looking for someone who has a minimum of 5 years teaching experience along with experience of KS3 or KS4 responsibility, or as 2 I/C of department.



This is a larger than average secondary school in the Bexley Borough. Its most recent OFSTED report describes it as "a good school. It combines a caring ethos with academic success". There is a strong record of improvement in recent years. The headteacher and senior leaders are held in high regard by students, staff, parents, carers and governors. The results of improvements can be seen in several areas and most obviously in the accelerated improvement in GCSE results in summer 2011.



The position will start in September and is being offered at upper pay scale (outer London) + TLR £9018.
