HE Research Lecturer (Techinical Engineering)

HR RESEARCH LECTURER



The Technical Engineering Curriculum Area has been one of the unique selling points for my customer delivering both electrical and mechanical engineering upto level 6 or honours degree which has been recognised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). This work has led to increased levels of research and are now becoming ready for research grants to support land mine detection and renewable energies.



My customer is currently looking for HE Research Lecturer's within a further education environment to facilitate and carry out research and development activities that will provide for both learners and employers. As a HE Research Lecturer you will teach academic / vocational subjects to undergraduate and post graduate students aged 18 upwards this will include seminars, lectures, tutorials, e-learning and demonstrations. HE Research Lecturers will pursue their own research and develop these into planned research activity of the workplace. You will ensure your activity leads to successful bidding for funding and your research published to raise the profile of your employer.



This role will open the doors to more opportunities and provide capacity to support future bids for research funding. Annual teaching commitment will be 540 guided learning hours with weekly commitment of 18. Time freed will be spent bidding for research and development, developing materials and programmes for distance and e-learning.



You must be educated with Master level qualifications. Recent graduates are welcome to apply as my customer is keen to have a good mix of qualifications and experiences within the team. You will be required to undertake a PGCE / CertEd within 2 years of appointment if you do not already hold one.
