We are currently inviting applications from enthusiastic individuals who are interested in covering teaching absence in Secondary schools throughout Sheffield.
The role will include the supervision of whole classes under the guidance of teaching / senior staff, including implementation of work programmes, positively managing student behaviour to maintain a learning environment and assisting students in relevant activities.
You must demonstrate a friendly and outgoing personality and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. Knowledge of school policies, particularly regarding Health and Safety, Equal opportunities and Special Educational Needs, would be an advantage.
We would welcome applications from;
- candidates with experience in secondary education
- graduates with a degree considering a career in education or students currently working towards a teaching qualification
- FE lecturers holding a PGCE qualification
- QTS teachers who no longer want direct responsibility for planning and marking
- Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) with NVQ level 4 qualification
