Class Teacher

To take charge of and teach a class to develop the knowledge skills, understanding and abilities of each pupil.



Be responsible for overseeing the social development and monitoring the academic progress of each pupil in the class.



Encourage and maintain positive working relationships with parents and to be available to talk to speak to them at any suitable time to meet the needs of each child.



Liaise with other staff and TAs in order to assess the children's progress and report this to the parents.



Display strong class management in the classroom and throughout the school.



Provide the children with a good role model for their attitude, appearance and manners.



Keep up to date records in accordance with the schools policy and following marking and assessment guidelines.



Attend occasions such as parents evenings that are deemed as normal school activities.



Safeguard the health and safety of yourself and the safety of others in accordance with the school's Health and Safety policy.
