Our client has an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified senior lecturer to teach visual effects to learners aged 16-19 in a Further Education College in South East London.



You must hold a teaching qualification or have a degree in relevant subject area.



Primary Purpose:



To provide teaching and learning activities principally in the field of Visual Effects, Compositing and Post Production technologies across relevant courses.

To act as part of the Post Production Team team in undertaking responsibilities that include: membership of Course / Institution committees, assessment, acting as tutor for groups of students or individuals and educational management / administration, and generation of course materials for distance learning as required by the Subject and/or Course Leader and Academic Development Managers.



Key Activities and Responsibilities

* To teach and assess students in the subject area on relevant courses at the Higher education level as appropriate.



* To tutor and counsel students and refer to student support/counsellor where appropriate.



* As part of the Course team, to contribute to the development of the course(s) specialism(s) across all years of the course(s).



* To assist in the recruitment of students and assist in promotional activities for the department including marketing and open days.



* To maintain an overview of students' assessment and progression through all stages of the course, giving feedback tutorials to students.



* To assist in the planning and writing of course documentation including timetables, project briefs and development of learning resources.



* To contribute to the achievement of academic standards of the course(s), including the annual critical appraisal process.



* Where appropriate, to participate in Institution Committee's, as required e.g. The Course Board, Exam Boards, and so on.



* To participate in the general management and administration of the course(s).



* To participate in interdisciplinary initiatives including contributing to any shared or common units of study.



* To assist in undertaking curriculum development across the area of specialism
