ASD Teachers required in South East London

Capita Education are currently working with excellent all age day schools for pupils in South East London who experience severe and complex learning difficulties. They deliver a holistic and comprehensive service to children and young people with special educational needs, which will enable them to develop their full potential. The individual and special educational needs of the children and young people are at the heart of the service they provide. We have a variety of short term roles until the end of term and long term roles from September.



Our clients are looking for teachers of ASD/SLD for long and short term positions after Easter and for September. Very often these roles turn into a permanent positions for the right candidate. We are happy to consider CVs from NQTs or those that have just finished their induction but the successful candidate must show both a flair for and a thorough understanding of SEN education and the needs of the children.



These roles centre around teaching a class of students, all of whom have a statement of Special Educational Needs and providing educational and pastoral leadership for the young people. The successful candidate will be adept at monitoring, evaluating and reviewing both policy and the effectiveness of practice within the classroom. In addition, they will plan, create and deliver lessons, together with all relevant materials and resources, managing teaching methods and providing support and appropriate guidance to the LSA cohort within the class.

-Hold a current UK CRB (or be willing to apply for one)

-Have a valid UK work visa/permit

-Have two child-based references/care references

-Have an overseas police check (from country of origin or if lived outside UK for over 6 months)
