Contract and permanent DT technician jobs

Design and technology technicians are an integral part of UK’s educational system by supporting and directly improving students' learning experience in design & technology. At Capita we have a range of permanent, part-time or contract DT technician jobs across the further education job sector.

Requirements for design and technology technician recruitment

We are looking for technicians preferably with previous experience of undertaking a range of design-related tasks. Design & technology technicians are responsible for preparing equipment and materials for lessons as requested by the teaching staff, maintain workshop records and are expected to have up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations. Qualified D&T technicians are expected to have attended training courses that are recognised by the Design & Technology Association. In order for you to work in design & technology technician jobs in schools, you will need to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
